2005 Buick Century Coolant Reservoir Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the coolant reservoir on 2005 Buick Century?
A: Begin by relocating the Coolant Reservoir hose clamp around the radiator overflow fitting followed by the hose removal from the power distribution center and radiator overflow fitting clips. Start by removing shock tower studs' nuts then extract the coolant recovery reservoir from its lower retainers and shock tower studs where you will drain coolant into a clean container. Reinstall the coolant recovery reservoir onto the lower retainer and shock tower studs before installing shock tower studs nuts. Tighten all nuts to 3.3 nm (29 inch lbs.). Clean water lubrication of the reservoir hose precedes the hose installation at the radiator overflow fitting where the hose end faces directly against the radiator filler neck while urging the clamp to sit between the neck and the flared fitting section. When complete you should position the clamp onto the radiator overflow fitting before installing the reservoir hose to its clip at the power distribution center and filling the recovery system to standard levels.
