2005 Buick Park Avenue Air Suspension Compressor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Air Suspension Compressor on 2005 Buick Park Avenue?
A: The replacement of the Air Suspension Compressor requires first lifting and supporting your vehicle. The cleaning of Air Hose plus intake Air Filter and Air Suspension Compressor area must occur before the dirt can enter an alc system. First disconnect the air tube from the air dryer then remove the bolt and harness tie which connects the air tube to the Air Suspension Compressor bracket before removing the intake Air Filter. First disconnect the vehicle harness from the Air Suspension Compressor connector before removing two nuts and a bolt and the Air Suspension Compressor assembly from the vehicle. First detach the Air Suspension Compressor connector from its anchor point then move two bolts and the heat shield off of the Air Suspension Compressor bracket before using three bolts to disconnect the Air Suspension Compressor assembly from the bracket. Reposition the Air Suspension Compressor at two locations by removing the air dryer and the Air Hose then take out the two screws and two brackets from the Air Suspension Compressor. Two screws should be used to attach the brackets to the Air Suspension Compressor while torquing screws to 7 nm (62 inch lbs.). First connect the Air Hose to two spots on the Air Suspension Compressor before installing the air dryer to the compressor and securing the compressor assembly to its bracket using three bolts at a torque of 3 nm (26 inch lbs.). Secure the heat shield onto the Air Suspension Compressor bracket by hand and install only two bolts right now. You will need this bolt later. Fasten these components through two nuts and one bolt secured at 9 nm (80 inch lbs.). Begin by reinstalling the intake Air Filter and harnessed connecting the air tube to the air dryer. Secure the air tube to the Air Suspension Compressor bracket by tightening the bolt to 4 nm (35 inch lbs.). The alc system needs 45 seconds of ignition-on time to operate the arc so the air adjustable shock absorbers can fully receive residual pressure before driving the vehicle.
