Buick Park Avenue Air Suspension Compressor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Air Suspension Compressor on Buick Park Avenue?
A: Replace the Air Suspension Compressor by first installing vehicle support stands before raising the vehicle. The cleaning of all Air Hoses along with intake Air Filters and Air Suspension Compressor space will stop foreign matter from reaching the alc system. First disconnect the air tube from the air dryer while you remove the bolt that holds down the air tube to the Air Suspension Compressor bracket and extract the intake Air Filter. First remove the Air Suspension Compressor connector's vehicle harness then unscrew the two nuts and bolt and Air Suspension Compressor assembly which are attached to the vehicle. Detach the Air Suspension Compressor connector from its mount before removing two bracket-bracket anchor bolts and the heating shield. Then separate the Air Suspension Compressor assembly from its bracket using three mounting bolts. Begin by disconnecting the air dryer from the compressor then remove two air hoses from compressor locations then remove two screws and two brackets from the Air Suspension Compressor body. Installation requires attaching each bracket to the Air Suspension Compressor through two screws tightened to 7 nm (62 inch lbs.) before connecting the Air Hose to two locations and mounting the air dryer against the compressor. First secure the Air Suspension Compressor assembly to the bracket by tightening three bolts to 3 nm (26 inch lbs.), after which the heat shield should be attached to the Air Suspension Compressor bracket with two bolts left loose for future use. First secure the Air Suspension Compressor assembly to the vehicle using a bolt tightened to 9 nm (80 inch lbs.) while applying two nuts followed by connector anchor connection to the Air Suspension Compressor connector and harness attachment at the connector anchor. Once the intake Air Filter is available replace it while you attach the air tube to the air dryer before you secure this connection with harness tie fastened to the Air Suspension Compressor bracket by tightening all three bolts to 4 nm (35 inch lbs.). The alc system needs 45 seconds of ignition time to execute the arc before lowering the vehicle. This waiting period allows residual pressure to fill the air adjustable shock absorbers after starting the engine.
