You need to take the back up lamp assembly off first before you change the lock cylinder in the rear compartment lid. Begin by removing the rear compartment lid decoration. Unscrew and take off the three nuts holding the lock cylinder to the lid before lifting it out from the assembly. Follow the fastener notice instructions while mounting the lock cylinder onto the lid. Install the three lock cylinder nuts onto the lid where their torque rating should be 9 n.m (80 lb in). Place the back up lamp assembly along with the rear compartment lid trim back in place.
