How to service and repair A/C hoses using the A/C Line Repair Kit (J 41425) on 2005 Buick Rainier?

Any damage affecting the heater and air conditioning (A/C) pipes requires the A/C Line Repair Kit (J 41425) to service and repair the rear A/C or heater lines through sectional replacement as these units are not meant for individual component repair. The first step should consist of harvesting the refrigerant for A/C line repairs while draining the coolant during heater line services. Lift and stabilize the vehicle next raise the damaged area for observation. Use a tubing cutter to cut out the faulty line section while preparing the replacement segment to have the same total length. Apply LOK prep sealant and one drop of sealing compound from J 41425-3 to each end before cleaning the line ends with the J 41425 cleaning pad. The LOK fitting requires insertion of line ends followed by rotating it to spread the sealing compound which can be secured through the use of LOK fitting jaws along with tool (J 41425-1) while tightening the forcing screw under 3/8" breaker bar body support. The car can be lowered down after verifying the installation while requiring coolant refills from draining and needing the system to be evacuated and recharged upon completion of A/C line repairs.
