Heat the emblem using the J 25070 (Heat Gun) while maintaining a distance of 6.0 inches (152 mm) and applying the gun for around thirty seconds in circular patterns. A molded plastic tool with a flat blade should be used to separate the emblem from the hood and you should clean away leftover adhesive using disk P/N 07501 of the 3M(TM) Scotch Brite molding adhesive remover or its equivalent. Heat up the hood emblem and mounting surface to 21°C (70°F) using the J 25070 (Heat Gun) when necessary while keeping the environment dust and dirt free. Place the nuance-originating padding from the rear of the hood symbol while inserting the emblem's positioning tabs into hood apertures before uniformly fixing the emblem through proper pressure distribution. After tightening the hood emblem nuts to 2.0 N.m (18 lb in) remove the masking tape before closing the hood.
