• Q: How to replace the console fuse box on 2005 Buick Rendezvous?

  A: The process of replacing either the console electrical center or junction block starts by removing the front floor console then disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. Connectors 1, 2 and 3 should be removed from the Body Control Module (BCM) followed by connectors 1 and 2 from the console accessory wiring junction block. Remove junction block retainers from the bracket as the first step before removing the junction block followed by the bcm. The bcm should receive installation first before installing the junction block into its bracket and tightening the block retainers . Start by connecting the junction block to electrical connectors 1 & 2, followed by installing electrical connector bolts 1 & 2 with finger tightening while they reach seating before torqueing to 6 n.m (54 lb in). The bcm electrical connectors (1,2,3) should be connected followed by reinstalling the front floor console while finishing the installation with the negative Battery Cable reconnection.
