The first step is removing the engine left side valve Rocker Arm cover, then proceed to take off the engine right side cover, and afterwards remove both the upper and lower intake manifolds. You should also take out the valve rocker arms and pushrods before removing the lifter guide bolts and the lifter guide. Make sure to put the valve train parts in a rack to make sure they go back on in the right places. When you have taken out the lifter(s), wash and look over the valve lifter(s). Ensure that each lifter is installed in its original spot before putting in the lifter guide, valve rocker arms, and pushrods. In the end, fit the lower and upper intake manifolds, followed by the engine right side and left side valve Rocker Arm covers.
