To replace the valve lifters you need to remove the lower Intake Manifold together with valve rocker arms and pushrods. After that, extract the lifter guide bolts and the valve lifter guides, then remove the valve lifters. Degrease all gasket surfaces. For installation, prelube gm p/n 12345501 and can p/n 992704 or equivalent, before installation to valve lifters. Use threadlock gm p/n 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or distilled to the threads of the lifter guide bolts, and install the valve lifter guide and the lifter guide bolts and tighten them to 10nm (89 inch lbs.). Last, reinstall the valve rocker arms and pushrods, and then lower Intake Manifold.
