2005 Cadillac DeVille Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the rear Fuse Box on 2005 Cadillac DeVille?
A: The first task before replacing a rear electrical center or junction block requires disconnecting the negative Battery Cable from the battery. After removing the rear fuse block cover along with the positive Battery Cable fastener from the Battery Cable users should disconnect the positive Battery Cable from the rear fuse block. In order to access the block, users should start by disengaging the four retaining clips followed by lifting and turning over the electrical fuse block. All connectors should be removed from the fuse block after you detach its three connector fasteners. Installation requires you to connect all connectors to the rear fuse block before starting and tightening the fasteners by 6 n.m (53 lb in). Reinstall the positive Battery Cable with its fastener to the rear fuse block while tightening it to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Connect the negative Battery Cable to the battery as the final step of the process.
