Remove the underhood fuse block from its base by releasing four locking tabs and then the block can be detached from its base. The installation of fuse block base fasteners begins immediately after verifying that base service is not required and requires 9 n.m (80 lb in) torque. Before uninstalling the accumulator and accessing electrical harnesses from the fuse base block you must evacuate then recharge your a/c system. To detach the underhood fuse block base from the vehicle start by unfastening the mounting fasteners then remove the base. Begin by placing the underhood fuse block base onto the body after which install the fasteners to 9 n.m (80 lb in) and reattach the accumulator and wiring harnesses to the fuse block base. When the fuse block faces downward, connect the electrical connectors and mount the underhood fuse block onto its base assembly while pressing all four retention clips into place. Secure the fuse block harnesses to the body with three fasteners tightened to 6.5 n.m (58 lb in). After that, mount the positive Battery Cable to the rear fuse block using a fastener which needs to be fastened up to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Replace the underhood fuse block cover and return power to the negative Battery Cable as the last step.
