Begin replacing the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor by first disconnecting its electrical connector then taking out the accelerator control cable bracket bolt and firewall bracket before you remove the MAP Sensor from the Intake Manifold. The MAP Sensor grommet should be checked for signs of damage or wear before you make a new replacement if needed. The installation process includes repositioning the MAP Sensor into the Intake Manifold followed by bracket reinstall along with bolts and a final tightening to 12 n.m torque (106 lb in).
