Start by lifting and stabilizing the vehicle when changing the Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor. First disconnect the oil filter adaptor before removing the retaining bolt from the crankshaft sensor then unplug its electrical connector. Before sensor installation apply clean engine oil to the O-ring followed by an inspection for any signs of wear or damage. Replace the sensor if necessary. Position the new crankshaft sensor followed by its retaining bolt but tighten both down to 10 N.m (89 lb in) before attaching power connections and placing back the oil filter adaptor and Air Deflector.
