In case of a reused sensor, the threads need to be coated with an anti-seize compound p/n 5613695 or its similar. However, new service sensors should have this compound applied on it once before use. Start with lifting and supporting the vehicle, remove the heat shield. Now it is necessary to disconnect the ho2s electrical connector and remove the ho2s. For installation, replace the ho2s into its position and tighten it to 41 n.m (30 lb ft) while making sure that the ho2s electrical connector is connected safely underneath the harness heat shield to avoid damage. Lastly, reinstall the heat shield, lower the vehicle, and conduct a code clear.
