How to replace the rear Ride Height Sensor for the electronic suspension on 2005 Cadillac STS?

Begin replacing the rear position sensor for electronic suspension by lifting and stabilizing the vehicle before taking off both tire and wheel. Separate the ride sensor link from its connection at the ball stud of the upper control arm and the harness connector of the ride sensor. Using a socket remove the rear ride sensor retaining nut before leveraging the sensor stud against the frame for loosening. The rear ride sender needs to be extracted from the vehicle. Install the sensor into its position within the vehicle while letting the stud rest fully in the keyhole until the bracket tab accommodates the slot. Keep rotating the bracket till the sensor reaches full level position. Fasten the rear ride height sensor retaining nut until it achieves 9 Nm of torque (80 inch lbs.). Close the attachment between the ride sensor link and upper control arm ball stud and reconnect the ride sensor harness connector to its housing. Reposition the tire and wheel before the vehicle is allowed to lower itself.
