How to replace the front sway bar link on 2005 Cadillac STS?

Raising and supporting the vehicle should be the initial step while replacing the front sway bar link. Start by uninstalling the sway bar link upper retaining nut yet continue holding the link studs using a hex tool to shield the link seal from damage. Start by taking out the sway bar link through the removal of its lower retaining nut and supporting the vehicle during the entire process. Reposition the sway bar link onto the vehicle and install the lower retaining nut without torquing it yet and repeat the step of holding the link studs with the hex tool to stop link seal damage. Place the sway bar link upper retaining nut on the shaft before tightening it along with the lower retaining nut to 115 Nm (95 ft. lbs.). Finally, lower the vehicle.
