How to replace the rear sway bar link in the suspension on 2006 Cadillac STS?

The first step to replace the Sway Bar Link in the rear suspension requires a vehicle elevation followed by tire and wheel removal. While removing Sway Bar Link retaining nuts, the link stud needs to be supported by a hex tool to stop link seal damage from occurring. The Sway Bar Link needs separation from its engagement with both the sway bar and lower Control Arm. Attaching the Sway Bar Link starts with connecting it to the lower Control Arm before moving on to connecting it to the sway bar while maintaining the hex tool grip on the link stud to protect the link seal. Fasten Sway Bar Link retaining nuts while performing torque to a value of 90 nm (67 ft. Lbs.). The install process ends with reattaching the tire and wheel before letting the vehicle drop to the ground.
