The first step to replace the left Timing Chain guide requires the removal of both the left Timing Chain Tensioner and the left Camshaft position actuator housing without disconnecting their Camshaft actuator solenoids. The crankshaft socket (J39946) should be used to rotate the crankshaft until both Camshaft position actuator timing marks reach their highest point in their motion. Then clamp down the Camshaft using an open-end wrench before completing the oil control valve installation at 120 nm (89 ft. Lbs.). Ensure the left Timing Chain Tensioner installation before finishing by checking that the paint marks match up with the sprocket timing markers on the left Camshaft actuator housing.
