  A: Start the Pressure Plate servicing and repair tasks by disconnecting the Transmission Assembly. You should loosen clutch cover bolts by one turn at a time until the spring pressure disappears before you remove the clutch cover combined with Clutch Disc. Install the Flywheel assembly by orienting its heavy side which bears an x toward the clutch cover light side marked in paint. The clutch alignment arbor (J 29074-A) should be used to mount the clutch cover onto the Flywheel assembly. Fasten the clutch cover to Flywheel through its bolts using the specified sequence while torquing them to 24 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) according to specifications. The clutch alignment arbor (J 29074-A) should be removed following installation then gm p/n 12345777 equivalent lubricant must be applied to the bearing's inside diameter before transmission reinstallation and hydraulic system bleeding and negative battery connection.
