  • Q: How to replace the Coolant Temperature Sensor on 2005 Chevrolet Classic?
A: In order to replace the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor, stop the ignition first and drain the coolant system to under the ECT sensor. Unplug the ECT sensor electrical connector and gently detach the sensor. When replacing the original or a new sensor without a sealer, apply a sealer (P/N 9985253 or an equivalent) to the threads before installing the ECT sensor.
