How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2005 Chevrolet Colorado?

In order to replace the Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor, first lift and support the vehicle. Remove the CKP sensor and take off the CKP sensor bolt. Unplug the engine wire harness electrical connector from the CKP sensor then discard the O-ring seals. For installation, install new O-ring seals onto the CKP sensor and apply a bit of clean engine oil to it. Place the CKP sensor in the block thus applying the sealer GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian: P/N 10953480) to the CKP sensor bolt threads prior to bolting the bolt into the block. Tighten CKP sensor bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in), connect engine wiring harness electrical connector to the CKP sensor , and drop the vehicle. Lastly, apply the crankshaft (CKP) system variation learn procedure.
