How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2006 Chevrolet Colorado?

To change Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor, you first elevate and support the car. Unplug engine wiring harness electrical connector from CKP sensor and loosen CKP sensor fastening bolt and completely remove CKP sensor from the engine block and dispose of O-ring seals. For installation, install new O-ring seals on CKP sensor as well as light lubrication by the use of clean engine oil. Populate the CKP sensor into the engine block and apply sealer GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) to the CKP sensor bolt threads prior to the bolt installation. Tighten the CKP sensor bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in), and connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the CKP sensor, lower the vehicle. Last, carry out the crankshaft (CKP) system variation learn procedure.
