How to replace the front Door Latch Assembly on 2005 Chevrolet Equinox?

Starting the procedure to replace the front door latch requires removal of the front door Window Regulator module. First detach the outside handle rod from the latch before removing the outside handle bracket. Secondly disconnect both the lock cylinder rod along with the latch electrical interface. You can detach the latch arm from the Window Regulator module by pressing the tab then moving it towards the rear side. Detach the inside handle rod and lock button rod from the latch by twisting it before removing the latch from the latch arm through twisting motion. Start the installation by inserting the latch into the latch arm through clockwise movement. Join the inside handle rod to the lock button rod through clip alignment followed by a twisting motion on the latch. To install the latch arm on the Window Regulator module press the tab and move the part backward before connecting electrical components and the lock device rod to the latch. You must install the outside handle bracket followed by attaching the outside handle rod to the latch before completing the installation of the front door Window Regulator module.
