2005 Chevrolet Equinox Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the inlet radiator hose on 2005 Chevrolet Equinox?
A: The first step to replace the radiator inlet hose requires draining the cooling system fluid. Begin by taking off the radiator support retainers on the upper fascia then proceed to unfasten the radiator bracket bolt and bracket from the radiator. The procedure starts with removing the clamp and hose connecting the radiator to the inlet and then proceeding to remove the hose connected to the engine and its clamp. Start radiator inlet hose installation by mounting the hose to the engine while using the clamp for fastening. Fasten the hose by clamping it to both the radiator. Place the upper radiator bracket on the radiator and complete it by tightening the upper radiator bracket bolt to the radiator support at 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.). Attention should be given to reinstalling the upper fascia retainers to the radiator support after filling the cooling system.
