2006 Chevrolet Equinox Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the inlet radiator hose on 2006 Chevrolet Equinox?
A: The first step to replace a radiator inlet hose requires draining the coolant from the system. The first step is to detach the upper fascia retainers from the radiator support then proceed to remove the upper radiator bracket bolt before separating the upper radiator bracket from the radiator. Remove the clamp from the radiator inlet hose and detach it from the radiator and steering housing both with the clamp from the engine released as well. First for installation secure the radiator inlet hose to both the engine and fasten it with a clamp. Fasten the radiator inlet hose to both components by using the clamp. Resecure the upper radiator bracket onto the radiator while tightening its bolt at 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.) to the radiator support. As a final step attach the upper fascia retainers into the radiator support before filling the cooling system.
