  A: Remove the coolant until the Water Pump area becomes empty before starting the replacement work. Adjust the Water Pump Pulley bolts with the serpent belt tensioner unloader (J 39914) tool to turn the Drive Belt tensioner spring. Depress esiually the j 39914 unit to take force off the spring-loaded Drive Belt tensioner at the right idler pulley before extracting it from the tensioner. Begin by unwinding the Water Pump Pulley bolts then taking off both Water Pump Pulley and Water Pump components. Clean both surfaces of the Water Pump where it connects to the engine block. Place the Water Pump Gasket first then install the unit itself. Fasten the Water Pump bolts with 10 nm torque setting. Put in the Water Pump Pulley and place the pulley bolts lightly. Twist the j 39914 to move away from the Drive Belt once the belt is correctly set on all pulleys but the right idler. Install the Drive Belt onto the right idler pulley while gently letting the j 39914 spring tool come off from the Drive Belt tensioner. Examine the belt path using the j 39914 after you unhook the device to verify the belt runs straight throughout its eight pulleys. Complete the job by tightening the Water Pump pulleys to 25 nm while filling the cooling system and looking for any fluid leaks.
