How to replace the rear Motor and Transmission Mount on 2005 Chevrolet Malibu?

Raise and support the vehicle at the beginning and then loosen the left tire and wheel. Make sure to use a jack stand to support the back of the powertrain. After that, loosen the through bolt and nut that hold the transmission mount to the bracket, and take out the mount to transmission bolts. Unplug the HO2 sensor harness from the transmission mount bracket, and then take out the transmission mount to frame nuts. Take out the transmission mount and bracket through the left side of the car. Put the transmission mount and bracket in the left side opening and tighten the transmission bracket to the frame bolts. Tighten the installation bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.), and then attach the HO2 sensor harness to the transmission mount bracket. After putting the transmission mount on the transmission bolts, tighten them until they reach 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.), and then tighten the transmission mount to bracket bolt and nut to the same level. When you're done, take away the jack stand, mount the left tire and wheel, and slowly lower the vehicle.
