How to replace the rear Motor and Transmission Mount on 2006 Chevrolet Malibu?

A replacement process for the rear transmission mount begins by safely lifting the vehicle and removing the left wheel and tire. Begin by securing a jack stand under the rear powertrain section before proceeding with transmission mount to bracket through bolt and nut removal and then transmission mount to transmission bolts detachment. Locate then disconnect the HO2 sensor harness from the transmission mount bracket before removing both the transmission mount itself and its frame nuts. The transmission mount and bracket should be pulled out through the vehicle's left side. You should install the transmission mount and bracket through the left side while making sure to attach the transmission bracket to frame bolts before tightening nuts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.). Attach the HO2 sensor harness to the transmission mount bracket before securing the transmission mount to transmission bolts with 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.) torque. Finally, install the transmission mount to bracket through bolt and nut, tightening to 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.)Lower the vehicle while you reinstall the left tire and wheel then remove the jack stand.
