The first step when replacing the crankshaft balancer requires removal of the engine Drive Belt. Use the crankshaft balancer holder (J 38122-A) to stop the circulating motion of the crankshaft before loosening the crankshaft balancer bolt. First remove the crankshaft balancer bolt and discard it before taking off the crankshaft balancer. Install the new crankshaft balancer onto the crankshaft before using a new crankshaft balancer bolt for fixing it. The crankshaft balancer holder (J 38122-A) must be installed once more for safety before tightening the bolt to 100 nm (74 ft. Lbs.) along with an additional 75 degrees. End the procedure by installing the engine Drive Belt.
