How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor (7X) on 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

In order to replace Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor (7X), you are to turn the steering wheel completely to the left and raise and support the vehicle. Take off the right front wheel and disconnect CKP sensor electrical connector. Next, unseat the CKP sensor bolt and the CKP sensor, while inspecting it for wear, cracks or funneling if it is not being or replaced. Before installing it, lubricate an O-ring with a clean engine oil and check if it needs to be replaced. Install the CKP sensor and tighten it to 11 N.m (97 lb in), following a Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Reattach CKP sensor wire harness connector, left front wheel, right front wheel to vehicle, lower vehicle and run the CKP system variation learn.
