The j 46406 (Fan Clutch Remover and Installer) tool should be used to remove the Fan Clutch from the Water Pump followed by removing mounting bolts from the upper Fan Shroud. Place the Fan Shroud inside the radiator space after pushing it toward the nose to access the commencement of the filler neck. After that, extract both the Radiator fan and shroud components. Place the fan assembly back into position then attach the upper Fan Shroud mounting bolts while tightening them to 28 nm (21 ft. Lbs.).
