How to replace the Knock Sensor (KS) 1 on 2005 GMC Canyon?

To replace the KS1 Properties Knock Sensor, first, get the vehicle elevated in its base. Pull out the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the KS and then unfasten the KS retaining bolt before removing the KS from the engine block. For installation, place the KS with the electrical terminals downwards and fasten it to the engine block with the retaining bolt, which would be screwed to 25 N.m (18 lb ft). Finally, reconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the KS and lower the vehicle.
