How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) 1 on 2005 GMC Canyon?

Engine maintenance begins with disconnecting the ho2s electrical connector from both the engine wiring harness electrical connector and the camshaft cover. The heated Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194-B) allows technicians to remove the ho2s from the Exhaust Manifold. A scan tool code clearance operation post-installation is necessary to reset the ho2s resistance learned value because noncompliance might cause ho2s component failure. Prior to installation cover the threads of your new ho2s with anti-seize compound under part number 5613695 or another equivalent product if needed. Use the heated Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194-B) to place the ho2s into the Exhaust Manifold before tightening it to 42 n.m (31 lb ft). Reconnect the ho2s electrical connector both to the engine wiring harness electrical connector and the camshaft cover.
