    A: To be able to replace the intermediate steering shaft seal, lock the Steering Column with the ignition off and remove the key. Remove the intermediate shaft seal from the Steering Column and also removes the intermediate shaft pinch bolt (Wrench). Remove the intermediate shaft from the Steering Column, and remember the alignment for assembly and slowly lower the intermediate shaft. Collaps the intermediate shaft to clear and then cut back the insulation from around the inner intermediate shaft seal so as to access the seal bolts. Remove the intermediate shaft seal bolts and ensure the intermediate shaft is leftl in the car and remove the intermediate shaft seal from inside the car. Installation sees its placement of the intermediate shaft seal over the intermediate shaft from within the vehicle and the installation of its linking with the Steering Column as has been marked out during extraction. Install the upper intermediate shaft pinch bolt (Wrench) and tighten it up to 48 nm (35 ft. Lbs.). Next, wrench on the intermediate shaft seal bolts to 3 nm (27 inch lbs.). Connect the intermediate shaft seal to the Steering Column remembering to rotate the lower seal to ensure shaft clearance and finally, connect the lower intermediate portion of the shaft seal to the steering gear.
