In order to replace the headlamp washer pump, it is first necessary to remove the washer solvent container and disconnect the headlamp washer hose from the pump. Gently pull the pump away from the retainer so as to remove it from the solvent container after which you should remove the pump from the sealing grommet and discard the grommet. For installation, set up a washer pump grommet (new) into the washer container and lubricate it with clean washer solvent. Then, place the pump into the sealing grommet and attach it to the retainer on the solvent container. Lastly, reattach the headlamp washer hose to the pump and reinstall the container of washer solvent.
