2006 Buick Rendezvous Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the front headlight bulb on 2006 Buick Rendezvous?
A: You must begin by opening the hood and removing the thumb screw at the back of the headlamp. You must first lift the headlamp retainer to make it free then push the headlamp forward to let the ball stud detach from the grommet for removal from the upper fascia support. Start by removing the electrical connector from the lamp before rotating the bulb(s) counterclockwise to remove them. Detach the headlamp trim tabs after releasing them before pulling out the trim while removing all taped adhesive. The 3m(TM) adhesive remover p/n 8984 along with an equivalent product will remove all residue from both the headlamp trim and headlamp. The headlamp installation requires adhesive tape 3m(TM) p/n 6382 or equivalent to be applied to the trim before positioning the trim onto the headlamp until tab ends fully engage. Connect the electrical connector properly into the upper fascia support panel after rotating new bulb(s) clockwise. Put the headlamp gently back onto its upper fascia support then push the headlamp until the ball stud feels completely inserted. Reattach the thumb screw located at the rear of the headlamp while using the vertical retainer by moving it downward until complete seat. In the final step close the hood after inspecting the headlamp alignment when installing a new headlamp or carrying out any service activities in the front end area.
