How to replace the control arm bushing on 2006 Buick Terraza?

The vehicle needs to be lifted up before beginning Control Arm bushing replacement. A utility stand should support the Control Arm at its forward location beyond the coil spring. First lower the rear axle enough to reach the Control Arm bushing after removing the Control Arm bolts attached to the rear axle. Note down the original angle of the Control Arm bushing that exists in the lower Control Arm. The maintenance process requires the use of two specific tools: j 28685 rear suspension bushing remover/installer (J 28685) together with j 9519-e ball joint remover/installer kit (J 9519-E). To mount the bushing position its flat surface at a 90-degree angle relative to the fluid axis positioned at 9 degrees off the Control Arm's center line. Install the Control Arm bushing using j 28685 (J 28685) and j 9519-e (J 9519-E) while maintaining a 30 mm (1.18 inch) bushing length with alignment to the indicator line on the j 28685. Put the rear axle on the utility stand before you install the rear axle bolt. Once completed remove the utility stand and lower the vehicle down.
