How to replace the thermostat on 2006 Cadillac DTS?

In order to replace the Thermostat, disconnect the air cleaner, drain the cooling system. Shift the radiator outlet hose clamp on the Thermostat Housing using the hose clamp pliers (J38185), and then remove the radiator outlet hose from the Thermostat Housing. Next step is to remove the Thermostat Housing bolts and remove the Thermostat Housing, Thermostat and gasket from water pump housing, discard old Thermostat Housing gasket. Capacitate a new Thermostat Housing gasket in the water pump housing, followed by the Thermostat and then install the Thermostat Housing. Mount the Thermostat Housing bolts and tighten them to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Re-attach the radiator outlet hose to the Thermostat Housing; with the reinforcement of the hose clamp pliers (J38185), place the radiator outlet hose clamp. Lastly, fill up the cooling system and replace the air cleaner.
