Beginning the replacement of the center bearing Exhaust Heat Shield requires lifting and supporting the automobile at first. You should remove all bolts that secure the center bearing heat shield to the center bearing. The heat shield requires tilting to one side as you push it between the body and Drive Shaft center bearing and exhaust pipes then fully remove the shield from the vehicle. You should install the new heat shield between the body and the Drive Shaft center bearing and the exhaust pipes while making sure the holes match their counterparts on the center bearing. Position the center bearing heat shield bolts through its holes and fasten them with 8 nm torque (71 inch lbs.). Finally, lower the vehicle.
