How to replace the Wiper Switch on 2006 Cadillac SRX?

Before replacing the wipers/washer switch you need to disable and follow sir caution in service precautions. Take out the steering column trim covers while also disconnecting the steering column wiring strap. Take off the electrical connectors labeled 1 and 3 at the windshield and washer switch. You can pull out the windshield wiper and washer switch from its column retaining mount by pressing on its locking tab. Place the windshield wiper and washer switch on the steering column then plug in its electrical connectors (1, 3). Run the electrical wire from the switch back into place. Secure the wiring harness tie straps and put back the steering column trim pieces before allowing the sir system to operate.
