  A: The first step to replace inflatable restraint front end sensor is to disable the sir system. Do not shock or strike the sensor, and secure it in place prior to powering the sensor to prevent sir deployment, or personal injury. Start by removing the Radiator sight shield, loosen and reposition the Radiator for access to the sensor. Unmount the connector position assurance (CPA) from the wiring harness connector to the sensor and remove the wiring harness connector. Loosen the front end sensor mounting fastener found on the upper tie bar while remembering to check that it has the left handed threads and remove the sensor from the tie-bar. For installation, clean before mounting any dirt or oil, place the horizontal sensor in the arrow pointing, toward front vehicle end then, install the mounting fasteners while making sure to tighten upto 9 n. M( 80 lb) with in. Reconnect the harness wiring connector to the sensor, install the cpa, reposition the Radiator, and the last step to install the Radiator sight shield after enabling the sir system.
