  A: First raise and support the vehicle before beginning air compressor replacement. First disconnect the exhaust system from its rear hangers before removing automatic level control (ALC) compressor bracket mounting bolts to carefully lower the alc compressor assembly. Begin by twisting the air tube at the alc compressor clamp then disconnect the alc electrical harness connector. When replacing the alc compressor you should first remove the side mounting nut before extracting the alc compressor alongside its bracket from the vehicle. You need to disconnect two components from the alc bracket first: the alc compressor top bracket mounting screw and its electrical harness connector. Remove the bleed hose from the clip and unfasten alc bracket screws on the alc compressor before you detach the alc bracket from the compressor itself. Place the alc bracket onto the alc compressor before installing alc bracket to alc compressor screws and torque each screw to 9 nm (80 inch lbs.). Apply the bleed hose to its dedicated clip while installing the electrical connector into the alc compressor bracket along with connecting an air tube to the alc compressor. After reconnecting the alc electrical harness connector users need to install the alc bracket side mounting nut before securing the alc bracket mounting bolts with 9 nm (80 inch lbs.).
