• Q: How to replace the Air Bag Sensor in the Front End on 2007 Cadillac STS?

  A: To replace the inflatable restraint front end sensor, the sir system to first be disabled. Loosen the Radiator to be able to access the sensor by removing the Radiator sight shield. Restrains the connector position assurance (CPA) from the wiring harness connector of the inflatable restraint front end sensor and disconnects the wiring harness connector from the front end sensor while making the replacement that the front end sensor mounting fastener has left handed threads. Remove the front end sensor pulling force using the front end sensor by compressing it and remove it from the upper tie bar by loosening the front end sensor mounting fastener that is there in the upper tie bar. For installation, clean the mounting surface from any dirt, grease or impurities, and place the sensor horizontally with the arrow points toward the front of the vehicle. Fasten the mounting fasteners and tighten to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Take the harness wiring connector and connect it to the front end sensor and install the cpa in the front end sensor to the wire harness connector. Reposition the Radiator, install the Radiator sight shield and set up the sir system.
