A suitable drain pan should be placed under the transmission fluid Drain Plug while you remove and discard the plug and wait for the fluid to drain completely to check for discoloration and contamination. Fasten a new transmission fluid Drain Plug by turning it to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.) torque. Proceed by removing three fluid pan bolts and gently strike the fluid pan with a rubber mallet to break free before pulling out the pan with its gasket .
