How to replace the MAP Sensor on 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500?

To replace the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor, remove engine sight shield first. Disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector and remove the MAP sensor bolt prior to removing the MAP sensor. Check the MAP sensor seal for signs of wear or damage and replace it if needed. When installing the New MAP sensor, Oil the port with clean engine oil without dipping the sensor port directly into the lubricant but use a liquid type instead of a solid type which may block the vacuum port signal. Install the MAP sensor and then the MAP sensor bolt, torque the same to 12 N.m (106 lb in). Finally, attach the MAP sensor electrical connector and install the engine sight shield.
