How to Replace the Motor and Transmission Mount (RPO Z71) on 2006 Chevrolet Colorado?

The transmission mount (RPO Z71) requires replacement by first supporting the vehicle and using a transmission jack to stabilize the transmission before proceeding. You need to first remove the two nuts which secure the transmission mount to the transmission support followed by raising the transmission off the support before you can take out the mount to transmission bolts and the mount spacer. Begin the installation process by attaching the mount spacer before connecting the transmission mount to the vehicle body. The installation of transmission mount bolts must be completed with a torque of 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.). Use two nuts to fasten the transmission to the support bracket while tightening them to 57 Nm (42 ft. lbs.). Complete the installation by first lowering the car then removing the transmission jack.
