    A: To replace the air bag clock spring the following procedure must be followed: firstly, ensure that the front wheels are straight and Steering Wheel centered because the new sir coil assembly will also be centered for preventing damages and malfunctions. Turn off sir system and take off air bag clock spring, steering wheel, and steering column covers. Pry sir coil harness connector, headlamp/turn signal harness connector, wiper/washer harness connector loosening from sir coil module assembly. With a small flat-bladed tool, pry the two retaining tabs downward at the base of the sir coil assembly and slide it down from steering column. Then pull out the headlamp/Turn Signal Switch and the wiper washer switch from the sir coil module assembly. First, on installation, connect the wiper washer and switch, after that the headlamp/turn signal wire switch, which is screwed from the back. Check that the centering of the sir coil, then slide the sir coil assembly on the steering column and snap it into it. Replace the sir coil harness connector, headlamp/turn signal harness connector, and the wiper/washer harness connector back onto the sir coil module assembly. Lastly, replace the steering column covers, steering wheel, and air bag clock spring, and also enable the sir system.
