    A: Disconnection of the negative Battery Cable from the battery negative terminal should ensure safety precautions followed to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) belonging to 4t45-e automatic transaxle. Lift up the vehicle and disconnect the speed sensor's electrical connector. Remove the retaining stud and sensor by pulling it in a straight manner, as this will prevent you from damaging the case. Clean and dry new Vehicle Speed Sensor before installing it with retaining bolt and tighten it to the stud to 12 nm (97 inch lbs.). Re-establish the electrical connector at the sensor, take off the safety stands, and lower the driving vehicle. Finally, connect the negative Battery Cable securely with a bolt that is tightened to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.).
