How to replace the liquid line A/C hose on 2006 Chevrolet Malibu?

The process starts with recovering all refrigerant present in the system. The replacement process begins by disconnecting the refrigerant pressure sensor and removal of the liquid line bracket bolt together with the surge tank and air cleaner assembly followed by the surge tank bracket. First disconnect the txv thermal expansion valve from its suction hose and liquid line nut before removing all txv connected hoses and suction hose and liquid line dash clips. After raising the vehicle you must remove the right front fender liner and the right radiator air deflector retainers and the right radiator air deflector. Begin by unscrewing the condenser bolt securing the liquid line and compressor hose and proceed to remove the liquid line and compressor hose before taking off the liquid line from the rail clip. Lower the vehicle then remove the liquid line and immediately cap all a/c components before discarding the sealing washers. Begin the installation by removing seals from a/c components and setting them aside before adding new ones. Afterward attach the liquid line as the final step. Position the vehicle higher and secure the condenser liquid line as well as compressor hose while torquing the bolt to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). A proper installation of the liquid line requires replacement of the radiator air deflectors to guarantee regular performance of both a/c systems and engine cooling functions. The right radiator air deflector and its retainers should be reinstalled together with the right front fender liner and vehicle lowering process. First, connect the suction hose along with the liquid line to txv and secure the nut at 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Afterward, install these lines to dash clips followed by putting the air cleaner assembly in place and tightening the liquid line bracket bolt to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Securedly put in place the refrigerant pressure sensor while torquing the bolt to 5 n.m (44 lb in), then proceed to reconnect the refrigerant pressure sensor wire harness connector. The procedure ends with evacuation of the refrigerant system followed by charging and using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) for fitting leak detection before installing the surge tank to its bracket.
