How to replace the rear brake line on 2006 Chevrolet Malibu?

Raising and supporting the vehicle, the following wheel assembly should be removed to change the rear brake hose. Clean all the dirt from the finish of the brake hose as well as the brake pipe fitting. Apply a flare nut wrench to the brake pipe fitting and a back up wrench on the brake hose to disengage them and capping or plugging both ends to avoid the fluid loss and contamination. Take out the brake hose retainer and the brake hose-to-Wheel Cylinder bolt then remove the brake hose from the Wheel Cylinder and throw away the two copper brake hose gaskets that are stuck. Plug or cap the entrances of the Wheel Cylinder and brake hose. For installation, remove the caps or plugs and then install 2 new copper gaskets, brake hose and brake hose bolt to the Wheel Cylinder and tighten bolt to 50 nm (37 ft lbs). In addition, remove off the caps or plugs from brake fitting for brake pipe and brake hose then install brake hose onto brake hose body bracket and secure with hose retainer then. Use a back up wrench to connect the brake pipe fitting to the brake hose, then tighten to 20 nm (15ft. Lb). Make sure that the hose does not touch any part of the suspension; if it is, fix the condition. Bleed the system of hyd. Brakes, reinstall tire and wheel assembly, and lower vehicle.
